Music Therapy for Adults with Disabilities

Angel Wings Music is a nonprofit honoring the life of Katherine “Katie” Elyse Passmore by creating free, inclusive music therapy that builds connection, confidence, and joy.

About Angel Wings Music Therapy

Angel Wings Music Therapy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Mary Markey in loving memory of her daughter, Katherine (Katie) Elyse Passmore.

Born at just 28 weeks, Katie was surrounded by music from the very beginning, first in the NICU, and then throughout her life as a constant source of comfort, joy, and connection. Although she lived with disabilities and was nonverbal, Katie found her voice through music, lighting up and vocalizing when songs were played at home, in church, or in the classroom. She especially loved Taylor Swift and found pure joy in music, movement, and being held while dancing.

Angel Wings Music was created so Katie’s love of music could live on. Today, we support adults with disabilities through the power of music therapy, creating meaningful opportunities for connection, expression, and belonging. We believe music is a universal language that builds confidence, strengthens community, and reminds every individual they are seen, valued, and celebrated.

Our Leadership & Board of Directors

As our organization continues to grow, we are guided by a dedicated leadership team and Board of Directors committed to expanding our mission and impact:

  • Mary Markey – Founder, President, and Director

  • Julie Cincotta – Director

  • Jeff Passmore – Treasurer, Director, and Registered Agent

Our Board of Directors is continuing to expand with new members who share our passion for music therapy and community support.

If you have questions about music therapy or are interested in opportunities for someone you love, we’d be happy to connect.

In each session, participants are invited to listen, sing, move, and connect with the music and with one another. The result is something powerful: a shared experience that builds confidence, fosters community, and reminds every individual they are seen, valued, and included.

Today, Angel Wings Music provides music therapy programming for adults with disabilities, creating meaningful moments of connection, expression, and joy through music. By partnering with trusted support programs, we offer therapeutic sessions where music becomes a tool for communication, emotional expression, social interaction, and comfort.
